What happens when I arrive for my appointment?
Please use the side entrance and take a seat in the waiting area. The rooms are used by multiple practitioners and there is not always a receptionist on duty.
A doorbell sounds as you enter so we will be with you as soon as we are available.
I'm not sure if pilates is right for me. How can I be sure?
You can give us a ring or come to a tryout class and see what you think.
What do I need to wear?
Comfortable clothes are best for pilates. If you are attending for physiotherapy treatment, we may need to be able to see your injured part.
Pants that roll up easily or a pair of shorts are handy if we are looking at your lower limb. Singlet tops can be handy if we need to expose your neck or shoulder area.
What should I bring to my appointment?
If you have had relevant tests such as Xrays or scans, then bring them as well as any reports that you may have. A doctor's referral is not necessary to
see a Physiotherapist, but many doctors do refer and we are happy to liaise with them.
Can children do pilates?
Yes. Older children and adolescents can benefit from clinical pilates instruction to improve their posture, body awareness and core stability. Some younger children can also benefit - ring to discuss if you are unsure.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes. We do have EFTPOS and HICAPS facilities.
Where can I park and can I get there by public transport?
Parking is available in the street but watch for clearway times. You are also permitted to park in the La Porcetta carpark.
We are situated across the road from Darebin train station.
How long is the treatment session?
Pilates is time based - 30, 40 or 60 minute options are available
Physiotherapy treatment times vary according to need.
Please be on time for your appointment. We try very hard not to run late.
